The Core Fine Art x We Love Foundation

Art and philanthropy converged in a remarkable display of generosity and creativity at the 2024 We Love Foundation Annual Gala, hosted at the Alfred I. DuPont Building in Miami, Florida. At the helm of this venture stands the We Love Foundation, which operates as an umbrella foundation mobilizing resources for nonprofit endeavors in the realms of health, education and social development.

Amidst the gala’s attendees, The Core Fine Art Collection proudly made its mark with a significant contribution. Their donation of Sebastien Courty’s “Illuminate” commanded a remarkable $13,900 at auction. These proceeds are poised to enhance the foundation’s mission of generating and directing resources to nonprofit organizations worldwide.

As a recipient of the 2022 CODA Awards, Sebastien Courty has distinguished himself in the domain of fiber art. His expertise lies in crafting intricately woven panels and sculptures that blend aesthetic allure with conceptual depth.

“Illuminate” is part of Courty’s new collection “Gradient,” whose fibers symbolize the intricate network of the body and its resilience, using various textures and colors to represent the diversity of experiences and challenges related to health. Employing his signature double weaving technique, Courty incorporates various elements, including vintage 24k gold and silver threads, silk, recycled rubber, coated threads and aluminum.

The Core Fine Art’s partnership with the We Love Foundation reflects their commitment to fostering positive change on a global scale. By supporting an organization dedicated to catalyzing impactful initiatives in health, education and social development, The Core Fine Art reaffirms its dedication to leveraging art as a catalyst for social good.
